The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, superior interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills, as well as 3+ years of relevant experience. Below are the details of the position:

 

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in various financial transactions, including financing activities, structured finance transactions, acquisition or sale of portfolios of financial assets, and secured and unsecured credit facilities. They will also provide advice on commercial and securities law issues related to finance transactions.

 

Duties:

  • Represent companies and financial institutions in financing activities
  • Provide advice on structured finance transactions
  • Advise clients on the acquisition or sale of portfolios of financial assets
  • Represent parties to secured and unsecured credit facilities
  • Draft and negotiate offering and transaction documents and financing statements
  • Understand commercial and securities law issues as they relate to finance transactions
  • Advise on debt and equity issues in capital markets transactions
  • Represent parties in financing transactions with a broad range of asset classes

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the appropriate state Bar or eligibility to waive into the Bar
  • 3+ years of experience in transactional work, corporate law, or finance law at a large or mid-size law firm, in-house law department, or governmental agency

 

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, oral communication, and writing skills
  • Superior negotiating skills
  • Understanding of business, industry, and market issues

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
