This position offers the opportunity to make a difference in healthcare compliance and contribute to the mission and vision of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge or desire to learn about healthcare compliance, contracting, and regulations, and must have a Juris Doctorate Degree from an ABA-accredited law school. As a member of the management team, the Staff Attorney I will report to the Administrative Director of Risk Management and Compliance, Privacy Officer, and Compliance Officer. This individual will be responsible for managing the Compliance Program, conducting audits, and developing educational materials to keep staff updated on changes in compliance guidelines. They will also act as a resource for staff on compliance issues and questions, and monitor compliance with the OIG Excluded Providers List. Additionally, the Staff Attorney I will assist with privacy concerns, complaints, and investigations, as well as contract review and assistance with MediTract. The ideal candidate will have one to four years of experience in hospitals and healthcare, and be certified in Healthcare Compliance or willing to obtain certification. Admission to the Oklahoma bar within six months of hire is also required. The Staff Attorney I must have excellent organizational, writing, and time management skills, as well as effective and professional communication skills. They should also possess a high degree of personal integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to accountability. This is a full-time position with benefits, and a competitive salary of $17,241 per year. The work schedule is Monday through Friday during the day shift.
