A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-level Cyber/Data/Privacy Attorney with 4-6 years of experience, focusing on litigation and/or regulatory enforcement investigations involving privacy and data security matters. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school, demonstrate the ability to engage directly with clients, lead significant projects, exhibit general tech fluency, and showcase impeccable analytical and writing skills.

 

Duties:

  • Focus on litigation and regulatory enforcement investigations related to privacy and data security matters.
  • Engage directly with clients and take a leading role in significant projects.
  • Defend against data privacy and security class actions, including claims under the Stored Communications Act, wiretapping claims, and those involving allegedly unfair and deceptive trade practices.
  • Handle consumer protection issues involving State AG, FTC, and other regulatory agencies.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience focusing on regulatory investigations or litigation involving consumer protection issues and/or defending data privacy and security class actions.
  • High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.
  • General tech fluency.
  • Impeccable analytical and writing skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) from a nationally recognized law school.

 

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in data privacy and security (preferred).

 

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and regulatory investigation skills.
  • Direct client engagement and project leadership abilities.
  • General tech fluency.
  • Impeccable analytical and writing skills.
