A law firm in Garland, TX, is seeking a skilled Pre-suit and Litigation Personal Injury Attorney with 1-2 years of experience practicing plaintiff personal injury law in Texas. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience and be licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar. Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus. Duties:

  • Communicate with clients regarding their personal injury claims and provide legal guidance throughout the process.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel on behalf of clients.
  • Supervise support staff and manage case files efficiently.
  • Conduct depositions, legal research, and drafting of legal documents.
  • Lead mediations and develop effective case strategies.
  • Draft demands and take cases to trial when necessary.
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, motions, and motion responses.
  • Collaborate with medical and other experts in case preparation.
  • Utilize bilingual Spanish skills when necessary.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience practicing pre-suit and litigation plaintiff personal injury law in Texas.
  • Admission to and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Experience drafting and responding to motions.
  • Substantial knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
