Senior Counsel, Employment Law (hybrid-Chicagoland) at Walgreens is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable attorney to join their team. This role will involve providing legal counsel and advice to executives and management within various business units, as well as collaborating with these units to achieve corporate objectives and mitigate risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and significant experience in both law firm and corporate settings.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and recommendations to executives and management within various business units
- Review and prepare legal documents for execution by management
- Collaborate with business units to achieve corporate objectives and mitigate unnecessary risk
- Conduct legal research, engage and manage outside counsel, and draft legal documents
- Keep up-to-date on legal and business trends that may impact the business units within Walgreens

Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- At least 5 years of post-bar attorney legal work experience in a combination of law firm and corporate settings
- Required licensure to practice law in at least one state
- Required Illinois bar membership or active bar membership in good standing in at least one . jurisdiction
- Strong time management skills, including prioritizing, organizing, and meeting deadlines
- At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
- Direct or indirect leadership experience

Salary Information:
- Salary range of $159,600 - $271,500 per year
- Salaried position with potential for bonuses based on performance
- Salary determined by experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law
