Job Overview: The Restructuring, Insolvency, and Bankruptcy Associate Attorney will join a dynamic team, assisting with a variety of complex legal matters related to restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy. The candidate will work closely with clients and colleagues, offering strategic advice and solutions to navigate challenging legal issues.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy cases
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Assist with case management, including document review, discovery, and trial preparation
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and client meetings as required
  • Collaborate with team members to develop creative legal strategies and solutions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Restructuring, Insolvency, or Bankruptcy law
  • Bankruptcy Judicial Clerkship experience is a plus
  • Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
  • Excellent academic record from a reputable law school
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to offer unique perspectives on complex legal issues
  • Exceptional writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and excellent client service
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate advice clearly and persuasively

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Kentucky Bar Association
  • Bankruptcy Judicial Clerkship experience preferred but not required
