Job Summary: The Tax Senior for Business Tax Services will be responsible for providing federal tax compliance and consulting services to a variety of large global and dynamic midsize clients across different industries. They will also be involved in tax planning, tax controversy, and tax research. This role requires a strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience in complex tax issues across multiple jurisdictions and countries. Key Responsibilities: - Perform detailed technical review of partnership, corporate, and individual federal tax returns and related work papers - Coordinate with client's tax and finance departments on tax planning and compliance data gathering - Review income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 - Research federal tax legislation and provide insights for compliance and consulting purposes - Assist with various tax consulting projects, including research and writing projects related to federal tax planning, restructuring, controversy, and accounting for income taxes - Manage engagement workflows and supervise tax consultants and interns - Provide expertise to clients on tax strategy integration into their business operations - Assist with global tax challenges and transform tax departments to increase efficiency - Offer a range of business tax services, including tax planning, compliance, controversy and risk management, specialized services, and tax management consulting Qualifications: Required: - Ability to work in a hybrid work model, requiring in-person co-location 2-3 days per week - 3+ years of experience in federal taxation, including preparation and review of federal tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field - One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain: - Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA - Licensed Attorney - Enrolled Agent - Certifications: Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) - Ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on the work and clients served Preferred: - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM - Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment - Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions - Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC740 - Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm - Supervisory experience - Excellent research and writing skills - Excellent presentation and communication skills Salary Range: The disclosed range estimate for this role is $63,420 to $126,620, taking into account various factors such as skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. This estimate does not include any applicable geographic differentials associated with the location of the position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances.
