A law firm is seeking a Pleading Review Associate Attorney:

Job Overview:

The Pleading Review Associate Attorney will primarily review complaints, letters, and other pleadings to determine whether the firm has sufficient grounds to proceed based on Federal, State, and Client regulations. Additionally, the role involves ensuring compliance with all organizational protocols aligned with the firm's goals, strategy, and values. Secondary responsibilities may include court appearances, file management, and collections negotiations.

Duties:

  • Review pleadings for accurate information, including venue, balances, correctly named parties, the statute of limitations, proper documentation, and proper theories of recovery.
  • Assist in legal research to ensure pleadings and laws contained therein are up-to-date with applicable laws.
  • Maintain good communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong pleading and complaint experience with knowledge of collections-related court documents.
  • Exhibit strong motivation, demonstrated by the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Utilized computer and word processing skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and quickly learned new technical programs.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the Creditors’ Rights or Collection fields preferred.
  • Juris Doctor Degree (.).
  • Must be licensed in the state of Ohio.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor Degree (.).
  • Must be licensed in the state of Ohio.

Skills:

  • Strong pleading and complaint experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer and word processing skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
