Duties:

  • Take depositions and argue motions in state and federal courts
  • Engage in contested matters and adversary proceedings
  • Collaborate across practice groups and offices
  • Participate in business development activities
  • Receive training with increasing responsibility
  • Work remotely two days per week

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of bankruptcy litigation experience
  • Strong knowledge of Bankruptcy Code, local rules, UCC, and secured transactions
  • Significant experience in motions practice and contested matters
  • Ability to pivot well in court and under pressure
  • Proficiency in deposition preparation
  • Exceptional research and writing skills
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Interest in relationship-building internally and externally
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Highly motivated and self-starting
  • Flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding law school credentials and references

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in Ohio
  • Bar admission in other relevant jurisdictions a plus
