The Architects and Engineers Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing a varied caseload involving construction law matters. They will communicate effectively with the court, clients, and opposing counsel while defending architects and engineers against claims of professional malpractice.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload related to construction law
  • Defend architects and engineers against claims of professional malpractice
  • Manage case organization and documentation effectively
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively in written documents and oral presentations
  • Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and preparation
  • Conduct legal research and analysis as needed
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress
  • Negotiate settlements when appropriate
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and best practices in construction law

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a varied caseload effectively
  • Excellent writing skills for effective communication with the court, clients, and opposing counsel
  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of Illinois
