Tax Transformation Senior Manager – Leading National Tax Firm

Position Summary:

The Tax Transformation Senior Manager at Deloitte Tax is responsible for driving the transformation of client service delivery through people, process, and technology enhancements. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team within Deloitte Tax, focused on delivering high value and efficient services to our clients. This role is available in 32 locations nationwide.

Responsibilities:

- Understand and drive the Tax business strategy and transformation goals
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of business outcomes
- Coach and develop the Tax Transformation team to enhance delivery capabilities
- Manage multiple projects spanning multiple Business Threads, including tax compliance and advisory services
- Define and manage detailed work plans, budget, and resources for projects
- Identify and track key results to drive progress and success
- Identify and address risks, issues, and change requests
- Collaborate with Tax professionals to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhance client service delivery
- Analyze business processes and legacy technologies to identify areas for improvement
- Apply agile and design thinking techniques to business process analysis
- Decompose business requirements into functional requirements
- Oversee user testing and review learning strategies and materials
- Assess business readiness and analyze user feedback to develop action plans
- Lead deployment and decommissioning of legacy systems
- Create executive reports and integrate program and project resources through effective communication and change management

The Team:

The Deloitte Tax Transformation Office is responsible for defining delivery standards and processes to support the delivery of Tax services, as well as the development and deployment of technology to enable service delivery. The team is made up of professionals with diverse backgrounds, including Tax Professionals, Human Capital and Technology Consultants, and IT professionals. The team works on a variety of projects with a focus on process design, deployment, and adoption.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work within a hybrid work model, requiring in-person collaboration 2-3 days per week
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or information technology related field
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to travel up to 25% for project work
- Active accreditation in one of the following:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office
- Licensed Attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Technology Certifications (such as Certified SAFe® Lean Portfolio Manager, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect)

Preferred:

- Experience with large scale transformations
- Strong Program and Project Management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of data analysis and management
- End-to-end technology project delivery experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within established deadlines
- Experience in a professional service environment

Salary Information:

The wage range for this role takes into account various factors, including skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other organizational needs. The estimated range is $125,510 to $285,749. Compensation decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and are not typically at the top of the range for the role.
