Job Overview:

The Intellectual Property Attorney will work closely with other partners and senior associates on patent and trademark issues. The role requires significant experience in Patent and Trademark Litigation, preferably being admitted to the Patent Bar. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution experience practicing in a law firm setting.

Duties:

  • Handle patent and trademark litigation cases.
  • Provide legal counsel on intellectual property matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
  • Manage case files and deadlines effectively.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Patent Bar is preferred.
  • 8-12 years of patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution experience in a law firm.
  • Strong litigation skills and expertise in Patent and Trademark Litigation.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within deadlines and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Engineering or computer science degree or significant experience litigating patents in these technology areas.
  • Membership in the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming a member.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (preferred).
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Patent Bar (preferred).
  • Membership in the Florida Bar.
