As a Patent Agent, candidates will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging cases, assisting skilled IP attorneys in various patent-related matters, including patent litigation, patent office proceedings, and patent diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Key responsibilities for the role include collaborating with the IP team to draft and prosecute patent applications, supporting IP attorneys in representing clients in Patent Office proceedings and patent litigation, conducting patentability assessments and third-party patent searches, and assisting with patent diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Candidates should possess demonstrated experience in patent application drafting and prosecution, proficiency in patent database search skills, strong academic and professional knowledge in the field, exceptional time management skills for efficient work in a fast-paced environment, and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering. Experience in prosecuting patent applications in mechanical and electrical engineering, with a preference for chemistry or biochemistry expertise, is highly valued. A minimum of 3+ years of intellectual property experience in patent transactional matters and a USPTO registration number (required), with an advanced technical degree preferred.
