Duties:

  • Provide legal representation to clients in liability cases, with a focus on insurance defense.
  • Manage cases from their initial stages through trial, including case preparation, research, and trial advocacy.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, case investigations, and analysis to support client matters.
  • Draft, review, and edit a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Participate in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Effectively represent clients in hearings and trials, advocating for their interests.
  • Maintain organized case files, documentation, and client communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and experts to develop effective legal strategies and solutions.
  • Provide regular case progress updates and legal advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in liability insurance defense.
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar.
  • Ability to manage cases from inception to trial.
  • Strong research, analytical, and legal writing skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in conducting legal research and analysis.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar is mandatory for this role.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
