EisnerAmper is seeking a Tax Controversy Associate to join our National Office team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with one of the largest and fastest growing accounting and advisory firms in the industry. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to manage their days in support of the firm's commitment to work/life balance. As a Tax Controversy Associate, you will have the opportunity to assist with IRS examinations and appeals, prepare penalty abatement and relief requests, address collection matters, and perform tax research and draft memoranda on a broad range of federal tax issues. You will also have the chance to work with the national tax controversy team, participate in training programs, and contribute to thought leadership publications. To be considered for this position, you must have a JD and be admitted to the state bar. You should also have at least 1 year of experience, although preference will be given to those with a LLM or Masters in Taxation, judicial clerkship or government experience, and/or a CPA license. Strong technical tax research skills, excellent communication and time management abilities, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are also required. Salary Information: The expected salary range for this position in NYC and California is between $78,000 and $90,000, with variations in other geographies based on market differences.
