A law firm in Boston is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Resource Attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US M&A corporate/transactional practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm's knowledge management team and M&A practice group to support various tasks related to document drafting, knowledge management, legal education, marketing, and client development. The Mergers and Acquisitions Resource Attorney will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's M&A practice by assisting with various tasks, including inputting deal terms into the Transaction Database, drafting template documents, monitoring legal developments, and collaborating with the legal education and marketing teams. This role requires strong expertise in M&A transactions, excellent drafting and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Duties:

  • Input deal terms from signed firm deals into the Transaction Database
  • Coordinate with the knowledge management team to audit and maintain the database
  • Prepare drafts or revise existing precedent template documents
  • Curate and organize the M&A group's forms, precedents, and other know-how
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relative to M&A practice
  • Prepare summaries and alerts regarding legal developments
  • Coordinate with the legal education team to brainstorm content for associate trainings and firmwide training efforts
  • Strategize on M&A promotion and assist the marketing team with content creation for pitches and teach-ins
  • Assist attorneys with day-to-day requests for precedents, templates, and other resources
  • Participate in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US M&A corporate/transactional practice
  • Basic understanding of public and private M&A, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties, and market trends
  • Strong drafting and organizational skills

 

Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
