A law firm in King of Prussia, PA, is seeking a dedicated Domestic/Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be involved in various aspects of family law, including divorce proceedings, adoptions, prenuptial agreements, visitation rights, protective orders, and custody filings. This role requires active participation in court proceedings, mentoring junior associates, managing client collections, and engaging in the firm's client lifecycle development program.

Duties:

  • Direct involvement in family law practice areas, including divorce, adoptions, prenuptial agreements, visitation rights, protective orders, and custody filings.
  • Work alongside senior attorneys and support staff, learning and contributing to the team.
  • Bill at least hours per week (approximately 1800 hrs/annually).
  • Sell firm services to prospective clients for at least 5 hours per week.
  • Manage client collection rate, ensuring it remains above 75% weekly.
  • Collaborate with the in-house financial team to forecast client billings weekly.
  • Provide representation of clients in court and through legal proceedings.
  • Mentor and develop assigned junior associates and legal support team.
  • Participate in the firm's Perfect Client Lifecycle development program.
  • Manage a regular schedule of hearings and court appearances.
  • Advise staff on legal matters and interpretation of laws and statutes.
  • Maintain active licensure to practice law in Pennsylvania (licensure in other states where the firm has offices is a plus).
  • Preference for experience in litigating domestic and civil cases.
  • Knowledgeable in family law areas, including childcare, paternity, adoption, domestic violence, ancillary relief, and financial settlements.
  • Adept at drafting legal documents, including custody agreements, wills, divorces, annulments, and prenuptial agreements.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (additional states a plus).
  • Experience in litigating domestic and civil cases preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in family law areas.
  • Competency in drafting legal documents.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
