The Vice President, Assistant General Counsel role in the Legal Department at JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a unique opportunity for experienced attorneys to join a top-tier financial institution and make a significant impact in the industry. This is a full-time position in the Corporate Sector, and the successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of post-admission practicing experience, preferably with a major law firm, financial institution, or judicial clerkship. A JD or educational equivalent is required, and candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements prior to starting employment.

Responsibilities for this role include drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of documentation and transactional support structures, as well as reviewing and responding to various solicitation documents from GHHN clients. The role also involves staying up-to-date on legal and regulatory changes and advising the business on key legal and regulatory issues.

The ideal candidate will have transactional experience, strong contract negotiation skills, and previous experience working with governments, healthcare providers, higher education institutions, or not-for-profit organizations. Familiarity with banking law and financial services laws and regulations is also preferred, as well as the ability to lead and drive teams and interact with senior management.

Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations applicable to GHHN clients and experience working with wholesale payment solutions are also desirable. Previous experience with state and local government Requests For Proposals and knowledge of local procurement laws is a plus.
