The successful candidate will play a crucial role in patent preparation and prosecution, focusing on electrical engineering, computer science, and related technologies. The individual should possess exceptional academic credentials, strong law firm or industry experience, and excellent communication and writing skills.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct patent searches and analysis to assess patentability and freedom-to-operate issues.
  • Draft high-quality patent applications in the fields of electrical engineering, computer science, data science/AI, networking technologies, machine learning/AI, and hardware security.
  • Communicate effectively with inventors, clients, and attorneys to gather necessary information for patent filings.
  • Navigate and respond to office actions from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Provide strategic counseling on patent portfolio development and management.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science.
  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
  • Solid understanding of patent laws and regulations.
  • Experience in patent prosecution in electrical engineering, software-related technologies, data science/AI, networking technologies, and machine learning/AI.
  • Knowledge of hardware security is a plus.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting patent applications.
