A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney with 3-4 years of transactional tax experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials and prior law firm experience. The role encompasses various areas of transactional tax, including mergers & acquisitions, private investment funds, real estate transactions, capital markets, and international taxation.

 

Duties:

  • Provide tax advice and support on a wide range of transactional matters, including mergers & acquisitions, private investment funds, and real estate transactions.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Draft and review transactional documents, including tax opinions, agreements, and disclosures.
  • Assist with due diligence reviews and tax structuring for transactions.
  • Collaborate with attorneys from other practice groups on cross-disciplinary matters involving tax implications.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting clients' business activities.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3-4 years of transactional tax experience in a law firm setting.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and international tax laws.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction is required.
  • Prior experience in areas such as mergers & acquisitions, private investment funds, real estate transactions, and international taxation is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
