This is a leadership role where you will manage federal and state & local tax controversy matters for our clients. Your Role:
- Manage and resolve diverse tax controversy issues for clients
- Represent multiple clients simultaneously with federal, state, and local authorities
- Negotiate successful resolutions for tax matters
- Research and communicate information to involved parties
- Understand the evolving business environment
- Strategize with firm leadership for tax planning and client recommendations
- Identify growth opportunities with clients
- Assist with complex tax research and other federal and state tax issues
- Prepare and respond to IRS requests for information
- Consult and coordinate with outside advisors for tax research and audit issues

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required, advanced degree preferred
- CPA license, JD, or LLM required
- Minimum of five years experience with tax compliance and controversy
- Strong federal tax experience required
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong time and project management skills
- Interest in research, industry trends, and business development
- Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel
- Highly motivated and able to take initiative for personal growth
- Ability to think creatively and evaluate risk

Compensation Range: California State - $112,000 - $201,000
