A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney to join their team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in complex estate planning, asset protection planning, trust and estate settlement, and taxation. The candidate should also possess an . in Estate Planning or Taxation and be a member of The Florida Bar.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sophisticated estate plans tailored to clients' needs, including complex estate planning and asset protection strategies.
  • Handle trust and estate administration matters, including settlement and distribution of estates.
  • Provide counsel on tax implications of estate planning and execute tax-efficient planning strategies.
  • Advise clients on probate processes and represent them in probate court proceedings when necessary.
  • Draft, review, and revise estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
  • Assist clients with wealth transfer strategies, including lifetime gifting and charitable giving plans.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in estate and tax laws to provide accurate and current advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors to ensure comprehensive and integrated estate plans.
  • Participate in business development activities, including client presentations, seminars, and networking events.
  • Maintain and build strong client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in trusts and estates law.
  • Proven experience in complex estate planning, asset protection planning, trust and estate settlement, and taxation.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws related to estate planning and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Education and Certifications

  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • . in Estate Planning or Taxation is required.
  • Active membership in The Florida Bar.
