A law firm in New York City seeks an experienced Private Equity Attorney with 4-5 years of solid background in private equity and mergers and acquisitions. Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and ancillary transaction documents.
  • Provide day-to-day support for private equity fund and portfolio company clients.

  • Work collaboratively with client business teams and play a lead role in legal matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of private equity and mergers and acquisitions experience.
  • Excellent academic credentials and prior experience with private equity sponsors in a large firm setting.
  • Strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Verbal, interpersonal, and project management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficient in negotiating and drafting legal documents.
  • Strong business and strategic judgment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
