A law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of litigation experience to join its team. The successful candidate will handle cases throughout the State of Texas, requiring occasional travel. They will receive top-notch mentorship to expand litigation skills and engage in effective client development. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, able to take direction, and confident in direct client communication. This is a hybrid position, requiring at least 3 days a week in office, and offers full-time employment with standard benefits.

Duties:

  • Handle cases throughout the State of Texas, involving some travel.
  • Receive mentorship to expand litigation skills and engage in client development.
  • Prepare and file legal documents in both state and federal courts, including e-filings.
  • Prepare trial and hearing documents in both state and federal courts.
  • Stay up-to-date on developing case law.
  • Research and prepare memoranda.
  • Provide case analysis and strategy for active matters.
  • Manage document control and data management in production and discovery.
  • Maintain a light-hearted approach, take direction, and communicate confidently with clients.
  • Achieve 1600 collected hours and dedicate 200 hours to firm investment (including business development).

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in litigation.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
  • Preferred experience in insurance defense.
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn valuable courtroom skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Work Schedule:

  • Hybrid (In-Office at least 3 days a week).
