Position: First Party Property Associate Attorney

Location: Miami, FL

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action related to first-party property matters.
  • Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
  • Maintain an annual billable amount of 1950 hours.
  • Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions regularly.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.
  • Assist in expert witness retention and collaboration.
  • Prepare for trials and attend them as necessary.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in First Party Property law, as well as experience in other practice areas, is a plus.
  • . degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Admission to practice in the State of Florida and admission to other states are advantageous.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong research abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.
  • Excellent client skills and telephone manners.
