PwC is a global network of firms delivering world-class assurance, tax, and consulting services for businesses, individuals and their families. In today's ever-changing business environment, companies need to stay ahead of the curve to remain competitive and successful. This is where a role as an Insurance Tax Manager at PwC can make a significant impact. As an Insurance Tax Manager in the Financial Services Tax practice, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients in the insurance industry, both domestically and internationally. You will be responsible for advising clients on their tax obligations, managing the impact of tax on their business, and acting as a strategic consultant for areas such as business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners. In addition, you will help organisations navigate the complex and constantly changing national and international tax environment, specifically related to capital requirements, operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. This role will also involve helping clients with their tax structuring and addressing the challenges of the ever-evolving tax landscape. At PwC, we believe that in order to thrive in a changing world, we must all be purpose-led and values-driven leaders. To support this, we have the PwC Professional, a global leadership development framework that sets expectations for all of our employees, regardless of their role, location, or career path. It provides transparency on the skills and behaviors needed to succeed now and in the future. As a Manager, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include developing new skills outside of your comfort zone, resolving issues that prevent the team from working effectively, coaching others and recognizing their strengths, and encouraging them to take ownership of their personal development. You will also be responsible for analyzing complex ideas or proposals and providing meaningful recommendations, using multiple sources of information to develop solutions, and upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. We are leading the way as technology-enabled tax advisors, using digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies to provide value to our clients. Our team at PwC Tax has unparalleled technical knowledge and specialization in the insurance industry, coupled with the One Firm knowledge that brings everything PwC offers to solve our clients' needs. Basic requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, at least four years of experience, and certification as a CPA or Member of the Bar. A Master's degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of tax issues affecting both domestic and international insurance industries, as well as experience in public accounting, internal domestic insurance tax departments, or internal foreign insurance departments. Preferred skills for this role include technical expertise in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance. Additionally, experience in identifying and addressing client needs, managing resources and budgets, and coaching staff is highly desired. Familiarity with a CRM system is also preferred.
