  • Conduct thorough investigations into legal matters by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent clients in arbitration proceedings, preparing legal documents, and providing strategic guidance throughout the arbitration process.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, conducting legal research to support case strategies.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, offering legal advice, and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.
  • Travel to Japan for in-person meetings with clients as business needs arise.

 

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of proven legal experience representing public companies, fund sponsors, and financial services clients.
  • Strong background in enforcement, investigation, compliance, dispute litigation, and arbitration.
  • Native Japanese language abilities (writing, reading, speaking).
  • Admission to practice in the state of CA, or eligibility to become admitted quickly.

 

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Japanese for effective communication with clients and counterparts.
