Summary: RSM is seeking a Tax Manager with at least 5 years of experience in business taxation to join their Financial Services practice. The Tax Manager will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex partnership tax returns for private equity, hedge fund, and/or FoF clients. They will also serve as a career advisor and manage client needs, while staying up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law. This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation range of $84,200 - $183,500. Responsibilities: - Review and analyze complex partnership tax returns for private equity, hedge fund, and/or FoF clients - Serve as a career advisor and provide training, development, mentoring, and coaching to employees - Communicate complex tax issues in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication with clients - Manage client needs and serve as the tax client service coordinator for appropriate clients - Advise clients on RSM's full range of tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and mergers and acquisitions activities - Review research findings and ensure compliance with firm policies and professional standards - Assist with new business development and extended services for existing clients - Manage client needs in conjunction with cross-functional engagement teams across the tax practice - Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - 5+ years of experience in business taxation, preferably at a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm, or equivalent experience in industry or with a law firm - Active CPA, JD/LLM, or EA - Prior tax compliance and consulting experience with Asset Management clients - Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance - Ability to work closely with clients and manage client engagements from start-to-end Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or MBA RSM offers a competitive benefits and compensation package, including at least 14 paid holidays, wellbeing days, and self-managed time off.
