As a National Tax - Federal Tax Advisory Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the world's largest organizations, as well as middle market and private companies. Your role will involve solving complex tax issues and translating them into effective strategies to manage the impact of tax on our clients' businesses. You will work with a team to identify cash tax savings and refund opportunities, and provide guidance and direction to associates while collaborating with firm subject matter professionals.

Responsibilities:

- Work on complex tax issues and develop effective strategies for managing tax impact on clients' businesses
- Identify cash tax savings and refund opportunities, such as FDII, BEAT, and GILTI planning, R&D credits, and more
- Analyze large datasets and evaluate relevant laws and regulations
- Provide timely and high-quality tax research and analysis
- Manage projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality analysis and client deliverables
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Mentor and guide associates, providing performance feedback and supporting their career development
- Stay current on industry trends and apply them to client scenarios
- Utilize EY's tools and technologies, such as SharePoint, MS Power BI, and Alteryx, to innovate and improve processes

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management information systems, or related field, with approximately six years of related work experience, OR a graduate degree in tax, law, or management information systems, with approximately five years of related work experience
- Valid US Enrolled Agent, CPA, or licensed attorney designation
- Experience with tax research and analysis
- Proficient in analyzing large datasets
- Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and supervise EY and client personnel
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Access, and data mining tools
- Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment

Preferred qualifications:

- Familiarity with IRS tax controversy and statistical sampling
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools, such as MS Power BI and Alteryx
- Previous experience in a Big 4 firm
- Certifications in Alteryx or Microsoft products (MSCA)
- Advanced degree, such as MST, MSA, JD, or LLM

Salary and Benefits:

EY offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, with a salary range of $91,600 to $167,900 in most geographic locations in the US. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the salary range is $109,900 to $190,800. Salaries within these ranges are determined based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. EY also offers medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and various paid time off options. Employees can also take advantage of a flexible vacation policy and designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed.
