A law firm in Miami is currently seeking a Mid-level Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney. The associate attorney will be responsible for handling insurance coverage matters, including litigation, for clients. This individual will be expected to demonstrate strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing abilities, and practical case management experience in both state and federal courts. Prior experience in third-party insurance coverage matters is preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Manage insurance coverage matters for clients, including litigation when necessary.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance coverage issues.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses.
  • Represent clients in court appearances and hearings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with case strategy development and implementation.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar and license to practice law in Florida.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance/insurance coverage matters.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Practical case management experience in both state and federal courts.
  • Experience in third-party insurance coverage matters preferred.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.
