# Associate General Counsel

## Job Description
The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is in search of an experienced Associate General Counsel to join its corporate legal department. The successful candidate will report directly to CBN's Vice President and General Counsel and provide legal representation, counsel, and service to CBN and its related entities. The position will be based in Virginia Beach, VA and will involve working with the CBN legal team to structure and analyze commercial and other transactions, negotiate contracts, and provide litigation management and support.

## Qualifications
* Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of corporate/commercial law, and proficiency in at least two additional areas of relevant legal specialty, as follows: international operations; trusts and estates; entertainment/media law; human resources, employee benefits and employment law; data protection and privacy; tax exempt organizations.
* Minimum seven (7) years relevant law practice experience, either as in-house or outside counsel, highly preferred.
* Excellent ability to structure and analyze commercial and other transactions.
* Strong contract negotiation and document drafting skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge of litigation practice/litigation skills as well as strong litigation management skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
* Flexible with ability to meet challenging deadlines/time demands.
* Excellent organizational and planning skills.
* Excellent business judgment and analytical problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
* Proficiency in MS Office software applications.

## Required Licenses/Certifications
* Law degree from an ABA accredited law school.
* Active member in good standing of a State bar association, able to be readily admitted to Virginia State Bar, either as an active member or as Virginia Corporate Counsel.
