The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, conduct legal research, represent clients in court proceedings, and engage in settlement negotiations. With 1-4 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, the candidate should have strong research, writing, and analytical skills, along with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception to resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
• Conduct legal research to support case strategy
• Maintain regular communication with clients for updates and inquiries
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials
• Engage in settlement negotiations and mediation
• Review and analyze legal materials relevant to cases
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on legal strategies
• Stay current with changes in laws and regulations related to insurance defense

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited Law School
• Admission to the New York State Bar and good standing
• 1-4 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
