A law firm in Deerfield Beach, FL, is seeking an Associate Attorney with a focus on landlord-tenant and eviction proceedings. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience or a strong desire to learn these practice areas. The role involves preparing pleadings and motions, court appearances for motions, conferences, and mediations, legal research and writing, and communication with clients, outside counsel, and court personnel. Admission to practice law in Florida is required, and admission in other states is a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, and leadership and management skills are strongly preferred. A portable book of business is a plus.

Duties:

• Prepare pleadings and motions for landlord-tenant and eviction proceedings.
• Make court appearances for motions, conferences, and mediations.
• Conduct legal research and writing on relevant issues.
• Communicate, both written and orally, with clients, outside counsel, and court personnel.
• Utilize courtroom and litigation experience in legal proceedings.
• Demonstrate leadership and management skills.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice and in good standing in Florida.
• Admission to practice in other states is a plus.
• 1-3 years of experience representing landlords in landlord-tenant and/or eviction proceedings or a strong desire to learn.
• Courtroom and litigation experience are a plus.
• Leadership and management skills are strongly preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience drafting pleadings, appearing in court, and researching legal issues.
• Portable book of business is a plus.
