A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking an Intake Associate Attorney to serve as the initial point of contact for potential clients. The role involves proactive client care and delivering exceptional service. Recent law school graduates who have passed the bar exam are encouraged to apply, with preference given to candidates with Texas Criminal Law experience.

Duties:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals seeking legal representation or advice.
• Conduct initial client consultations to assess legal issues and determine the firm's ability to provide assistance.
• Gather relevant information from potential clients and accurately assess the viability of potential cases.
• Provide empathetic and informative support to clients throughout the intake process.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to facilitate the intake process smoothly.
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions and case information in the firm's database.
• Assist in scheduling appointments and coordinating follow-up communications with clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas in good standing.
• Recent law school graduates who have successfully passed the bar exam are encouraged to apply.
• Preferably, experience or coursework in Texas Criminal Law.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor towards clients.

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
