Job Details:

  • Assist with the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
  • Provide patentability and clearance opinions.
  • Manage patent estate, including licensing and enforcement.
  • Work closely with energetic and highly experienced patent practitioners.
  • Handle high-level and strategic aspects of multiple legal matters from inception to conclusion.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills for communication with attorneys and clients.
  • Work independently and productively, showing a strong interest in advancing a career in Intellectual Property law.
  • Produce quality legal work and meet required billable hours for excellent client service.
  • Generate business through group and individual efforts.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Patent preparation and prosecution experience in software, computer science, electrical, or mechanical areas.
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where the Firm conducts business.
  • Must maintain applicable license renewal and CLE requirements.
  • Registered to practice before the USPTO.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm.
  • Preferred 2-8 years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm.
