Job Overview: A law firm based in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience with complex finance transactions, particularly in sponsor-backed leveraged finance. They will be responsible for running fundamental aspects of transactions, from due diligence through closing, and will represent borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in a broad range of finance transactions.

Duties:

• Serve as a key member of deal teams, taking responsibility for essential aspects of transactions.
• Conduct thorough due diligence processes and ensure all relevant documentation is in order.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to finance transactions.
• Provide legal counsel to clients regarding financial matters and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates to achieve client objectives efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience with complex finance transactions.
• Substantial experience in sponsor-backed leveraged finance.
• Experience representing borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in various finance transactions.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
