Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leasing agreements, including leases, subleases, amendments, and related documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex leasing issues, providing guidance and recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop leasing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Advise clients on lease enforcement matters, including defaults, breaches, and remedies.
  • Represent clients in leasing disputes, negotiations, and litigation proceedings when necessary.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting leasing transactions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior associates and legal staff as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on commercial real estate leasing.
  • Proven track record of successfully handling complex leasing transactions and disputes.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law, including landlord-tenant relationships, leasing regulations, and property rights.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and client satisfaction.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar.
