A law firm is seeking an Immigration Associate Attorney for their Dallas office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various immigration applications and providing legal support to the Intake Team and other firm teams. The Immigration Associate Attorney will work on various immigration applications, provide leadership and training to the paralegal team, and creatively identify immigration relief for clients. They will strategize advocacy for clients, prepare them for USCIS interviews, and stay updated on immigration law changes. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, along with a strong advocacy-focused approach to representation.

 

Duties:

  • Work on various types of immigration applications.
  • Supervise and serve as a legal resource to the Intake Team and other firm teams.
  • Identify immigration relief for eligible clients and strategize advocacy.
  • Prepare clients for, and attend, interviews with USCIS.
  • Provide leadership, support, and training to the paralegal team and other non-lawyer staff.
  • Answer legal questions from legal support teams.
  • Review and edit USCIS applications and supporting materials.
  • Stay informed about legislative, regulatory, administrative, and case law changes.
  • Provide strategic insight on case processing and improve legal processes.

 

Requirements:

  • . degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active member in good standing of a State Bar.
  • Experience working with, training, and supervising non-lawyer staff.
  • Previous experience in an immigration law firm handling humanitarian and family-based visas applications is a plus.
  • Advocacy-focused approach to client representation.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active member in good standing of a State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Fluent in Spanish.
