Job Responsibilities:

- Draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of documentation and transaction structures for the Wholesale Payments business.
- Provide legal analysis for the development of innovative product solutions and assist with the implementation of new products and key strategic projects.
- Advise on key legal and regulatory issues.
- Coordinate with other legal teams to maintain agreement templates, negotiations playbooks, and technology tools.
- Review customer-facing documentation for clarity, ease of understanding, and compliance.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

- Minimum of 5 years post-admission practicing experience with a major law firm, financial institution, or judicial clerkship.
- JD or educational equivalent.
- Familiarity with relevant banking laws.
- Ability to collaborate across functional areas and lines of business.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills.
- Ability to interact with senior management.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

- Knowledge of wholesale payments products and services.
- Experience with merchant service processors/providers.
- Familiarity with commercial card products.
- Familiarity with FinTech and third-party payment processors and regulations.

Job Description:

As a Commercial Banking Payments Negotiation Attorney – Vice President at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you will have the opportunity to provide strategic guidance and legal support for critical payments services and help develop negotiations technology and best practices across the firm. In this role, you will collaborate with legal partners and key personnel to negotiate client contracts and accelerate technological solutions. Additionally, you will help develop a best-in-class contracts negotiation legal practice for our businesses.
