The ideal candidate should have a practical understanding of common issues and industry solutions related to the acquisition, sale, development, finance, and/or use of commercial real estate, including commercial, mixed-use, or multifamily properties.

Duties:

  • Represent commercial real estate acquirers, sellers, developers, financers, or users in various transactions
  • Discuss and address common issues and industry solutions related to commercial real estate
  • Conduct due diligence on various interests in real estate
  • Provide basic familiarity with financial and accounting issues related to commercial real estate
  • Manage and review title opinions, draft objection letters, and resolve title issues and coverage
  • Develop deep insight into commercial real estate in Texas and nationwide
  • Provide legal counsel to developers, banks, middle-market businesses, and entrepreneurs

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of experience representing commercial real estate clients
  • Practical understanding of acquisition, sale, development, finance, and use of commercial real estate
  • Experience representing real estate owners, developers, managers, investors, or brokers in various transactions
  • Familiarity with managing and reviewing title opinions and resolving title issues
  • Technical proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the Texas Bar

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Texas Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal analysis and problem-solving skills
