A law firm seeks a Patent Agent to collaborate closely with esteemed clients in drafting and prosecuting electronic and software-related patent applications for pioneering technologies. The ideal candidate should possess a background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related science, coupled with robust expertise in computer systems or machine learning. This position requires 2-5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in patent preparation and prosecution, and admission to practice before the USPTO.

Duties:

• Draft patent applications for electronic and software-related inventions.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to support patent prosecution efforts.
• Collaborate with clients and attorneys to understand technological innovations and their patentability.
• Prepare responses to USPTO office actions and communicate effectively with examiners.
• Assist in patent portfolio management and strategy development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related science.
• Strong understanding of computer systems or machine learning principles.
• 2-5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Admission to practice before the USPTO.
