Duties:

  • Represent clients in criminal proceedings, including arraignments, pre-trial hearings, trials, and appeals.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and arguments.
  • Interview clients, witnesses, and law enforcement personnel to gather evidence and information.
  • Negotiate plea deals with prosecutors and advocate for clients' interests in court.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, motions, and briefs in a timely manner.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the legal process.
  • Maintain confidentiality and attorney-client privilege at all times.
  • Stay updated on changes in criminal law and court procedures.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas in good standing.
  • Recent law school graduates who have successfully passed the bar exam are encouraged to apply.
  • Preferably, experience or coursework in Texas Criminal Law.
  • Strong courtroom advocacy skills and ability to think quickly on feet.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client representation.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
