Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company (GLDD) is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join their team in Houston, TX. As the largest provider of dredging services in the United States, GLDD is also expanding into the offshore wind energy industry. With over 133 years of experience, GLDD has a strong commitment to employee safety and a track record of completing marine projects successfully.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal support for internal functions, with a focus on contracting and commercial support
- Analyze and advise on legal issues related to government and private contracts
- Draft and negotiate complex project and finance documentation
- Manage commercial disputes with subcontractors and vendors
- Conduct legal research and advise on legal developments and trends
- Communicate legal advice to management teams and executives
- Limited travel may be required

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree and . from an accredited university and law school, respectively
- Texas Bar admission
- 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in maritime, construction, or asset-intensive industries
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Highest ethical standards and behavior
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
