Tax Transformation Senior Manager - National Tax | Deloitte

Position Summary:

The Tax Transformation Senior Manager at Deloitte is responsible for leading the transformation of client service delivery in the Tax department. This includes implementing improvements in people, processes, and technology to ensure efficient and high-quality service to clients. The role requires a working knowledge of professional services and the end-to-end tax compliance engagement life cycle. Responsibilities:

- Understand Tax business strategy and transformation aspirations
- Establish strong business relationships to drive delivery of business outcomes
- Coach and develop the Tax Transformation team to enhance delivery capabilities
- Manage multiple projects and tax years strategically
- Define and manage detailed work plans, resource estimates, and budgets
- Identify and deliver key results with clear status tracking
- Identify dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and change requests and work with stakeholders to develop appropriate remediation plans
- Engage with Tax professionals to assess client service delivery pain points and improve process efficiency
- Conduct business process analysis and apply agile and design thinking techniques
- Decompose business requirements into functional requirements
- Collaborate throughout the technology development lifecycle
- Oversee user testing
- Review and contribute to learning strategy and materials
- Assess business readiness
- Analyze user feedback and develop related action plans
- Lead deployment and decommission legacy systems
- Provide executive reporting
- Integrate program and project resources, including communication and change management

The Team:

Deloitte Tax LLP's Tax Transformation Office is responsible for collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to define delivery standards and processes to support tax service delivery. The team consists of professionals with varying backgrounds, including Tax Professionals, Human Capital and Technology Consultants, and other IT professionals. They consult and execute a wide range of projects, with a strong focus on process design, deployment, and adoption.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid work model, co-locating with US Tax professionals 2-3 days per week
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or information technology
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to travel up to 25% for project work
- Active accreditation in one of the following:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office
- Licensed Attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Technology Certifications

Preferred:

- Experience with large-scale transformations
- Strong Program and Project Management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of data analysis and management
- End-to-end technology project delivery
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Experience in a professional services environment

Salary Information:

The wage range for this role takes into account various factors, including skill sets, experience, and training. The disclosed range estimate may vary based on geographic location and other business needs. At Deloitte, individuals are typically not hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,510 to $285,749.
