A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in professional liability, employment, medical malpractice, commercial transportation, and general casualty defense. The ideal candidate will have appellate experience and hold an Illinois license, with additional licenses in Indiana and/or Wisconsin considered advantageous. Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation in professional liability, employment, medical malpractice, commercial transportation, and general casualty defense cases
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and case preparation
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client representation

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience in professional liability, employment, medical malpractice, commercial transportation, and general casualty defense
• Appellate experience preferred
• Illinois license required; additional licenses in Indiana and/or Wisconsin preferred

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in Illinois; additional admissions in Indiana and/or Wisconsin preferred
