In this role, you will serve as the responsible attorney and provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of commercial and contractual matters, specifically involving our TeamMate products and related services. Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive legal counsel on corporate, commercial, privacy, and regulatory matters impacting CP & ESG and the TeamMate product. • Structure, draft, negotiate, interpret, manage, and enforce all types of agreements, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, and partner, joint venture, and strategic alliance arrangements. • Keep CP & ESG’s business representatives and Managing Legal Counsel informed of significant legal developments. • Work cross-functionally with Global Law and Compliance Department (GCLD) team members as needed. • Manage outside counsel effectively and in a cost-efficient manner. • Drive consistency and standardization, foster knowledge sharing, and support technology to automate tasks. • Develop a deep understanding of CP & ESG’s businesses, people, organization, markets, products, customers, competitors, and regulatory environment. • Educate business teams about contract forms, including contract best practices, common clause objections, commercial and legal risks, and internal contract review and approval procedures. • Support the GLCD’s M&A, regulatory, employment, and litigation teams with matters involving CP & ESG TeamMate. • Perform other assigned tasks as designated by leadership.
