A law firm is seeking a Property Tax and Condemnation Associate Attorney for their Albany office. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in real property tax litigation, assessment challenges, valuation issues, and eminent domain matters. The Property Tax and Condemnation Associate Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in matters related to property tax disputes, assessment challenges, valuation issues, and eminent domain cases. They will work closely with clients to develop strategies, conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and advocate on behalf of clients in court proceedings.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in real property tax litigation cases.
  • Handle assessment challenges and valuation issues.
  • Provide legal counsel on eminent domain matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to property tax laws and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective legal solutions.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and preparation.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in New York State.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney in real property, tax, or litigation.
  • Strong verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience handling property tax litigation, assessment challenges, valuation issues, and eminent domain matters preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to clients.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:
