Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for legal research, drafting pleadings, conducting and defending depositions, drafting and responding to discovery requests, trial preparation, and trial assistance. The candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with clients and colleagues.

Job Details:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and preparation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions to gather and preserve evidence.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories and document requests.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including witness preparation and trial strategy.
  • File pleadings with State and Federal courts and appear in court as required.
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Experience in filing pleadings with State and Federal courts and appearing in court.
  • Admission to practice in the State of Pennsylvania is required.
  • Admission to practice in West Virginia and Ohio is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Admission to practice in West Virginia and Ohio (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent drafting and writing abilities.
