Duties:

  • Conduct due diligence for large renewable and conventional power and energy projects.
  • Manage and lead closings for project finance and acquisition (leveraged) finance transactions in power, energy, and infrastructure.
  • Draft and review bid and commitment papers related to project finance transactions.
  • Handle a variety of financings, including tax equity financings and other financing arrangements for renewables, transportation infrastructure, and conventional power generation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ISDA, EEI, and similar enabling documentation.
  • Provide legal counsel on lender and sponsor-side matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in project finance.
  • Previous experience in a large national or international law firm is preferred.
  • In-depth familiarity with credit and security documentation.
  • Proven expertise in due diligence processes for large power and energy projects.
  • Experience in managing closings for project finance and acquisition (leveraged) finance transactions.
  • Knowledge of tax equity financings and other financings for renewables, transportation infrastructure, and conventional power generation.
  • Familiarity with ISDA, EEI, and other enabling documentation.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of New York.
