A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking an Entry-level Immigration Practice Group Associate Attorney with the following qualifications:

 

Job Overview:

The Entry-level Immigration Practice Group Associate Attorney will be responsible for reviewing and filing various non-immigrant and immigrant petitions and applications with government agencies and consulates under the guidance of a supervising attorney. This role involves collaborating with legal assistants, paralegals, and supervising attorneys, staying abreast of developments in business immigration law, conducting research, drafting legal documents and communications, contributing to marketing efforts, participating in training sessions, and monitoring case activity.

 

Duties:

  • Review and file non-immigrant and immigrant petitions and applications with government agencies and consulates.
  • Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and supervising attorneys for assigned cases.
  • Stay current on developments in business immigration law.
  • Conduct research and draft alerts, publications, and blog posts.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives, as required.
  • Participate in training sessions and other firm and section-related activities.
  • Regularly review client-facing and internal reports to monitor case activity and new case initiations.

 

Requirements:

  • Graduated with a Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted or eligible for admission in CA, DC, MA, or NY.
  • 2+ years of experience in business immigration law and/or immigration clerkship.
  • Experience reviewing reports and monitoring data compliance in an immigration-focused database.
  • Strong docket and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in CA, DC, MA, or NY.
